Sajid Nadiadwala was re-elected president of the Indian Film & Television Producers’ Council for 2020-21 at a virtual annual general meeting held on December 10. The others elected to the executive committee were: Ratan Jain, J.D. Majethia, N.R. (Babloo) Pachisia, Vijay Galani, Rajat Rawail, Shyamashis Bhattacharya, Madhu Mantena, Shyam Bajaj, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Dinesh Vijan and Nitin Vaidya.
Sajid Nadiadwala praised the industry for generously helping cine workers during the pandemic lockdown. He complimented the IFTPC for working relentlessly to provide monetary aid and for supplying food items to industry workers. He complimented the IFTPC team for rising in the difficult times of Covid pandemic  as a united body to help the industry. He mourned the said demise of many industry stalwarts such as Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
J.D. Majethia, chairman (TV & Web), in his address, complimented the Maharashtra government for acting promptly to restart the industry after the lockdown. He complimented TV producers specially for conducting shootings very smoothly without major mishaps. He also mentioned that the first ever Death Insurance of Rs. 25 lakh, provided to workers had raised their confidence to attend their duties. He also said that when pessimism prevailed in the industry during the lockdown, it was the IFTPC which worked relentlessly to restart the industry.
Among others, Ramesh Taurani (hon. advisor), David Dhawan, Anil Wanwari, Rajan Shahi, Lalit Sharma, Bobby Arora, Sandeep Jain and Goldie Behl also attended the meeting.
