SCHOOLS IN MAHARASHTRA ALLOWED TO SCREEN 3 FILMS IN ACADEMIC YEAR | 10 October, 2024

The Maharashtra government has introduced a new policy which allows schools to screen a maximum of three films or short films in an academic year. Of these, two have to be Marathi films.

According to the policy, the films must carry historical, social and cultural messages and be suitable for viewing by all students. The state education commissioner will be the nodal officer for granting permission for the screening of films in schools.
