SHOWS OF ‘RUNWAY 34’, ‘HEROPANTI 2’ CANCELLED | 29 April, 2022

As if the runaway successes of the Hindi dubbed versions of South films like K.G.F. Chapter 2, RRR and Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 were not unnerving enough for the Bollywood trade, original Hindi content has not been working since a few weeks. Both the releases of this week, viz. Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 opened today (April 29) to dull houses. Not just opened to dull houses, they opened to nil houses in some cinemas.

Yes, believe it or buy a ticket for either film, the fact is that shows of both the films had to be cancelled in some cinemas this morning because of zero audience. Yeah, you read it right. There was not a single patron to watch Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 in the morning shows in some cinemas as a result of which shows of those films could not be conducted there. One can safely predict that if things do not improve, multiplex programmers might feel inclined to increase the number of shows of K.G.F. Chapter 2 (dubbed), which is running in its third week, from tomorrow (April 30) and reduce the number of shows of the two new films which have opened today to a rather cold response.

By the way, what’s being played out at the ticket windows is nothing but a number game. Don’t get it? Take a look at the titles of the three films mentioned above: Runway 34, Heropanti 2, K.G.F. Chapter 2. All the three films have numerals as part of their titles!
