Singer Kamlesh Awasthi passed away today (28th March) at his residence in Ahmedabad. He had slipped into a coma a month back.
Kamlesh, who was also known as the voice of Mukesh, playbacked for Raj Kapoor in Gopichand Jasoos. The hit song Tera saath hai toh in Pyaasa Sawan was rendered by Kamlesh. Among the other songs sung by Awasthi was the hit Zindagi imtihaan leti hai in Naseeb.
Kamlesh Awasthi had also lent his voice to many Gujarati songs. He was a big name in the world of musical stage shows.
