Rapper Badshah received summons from the crime branch of the Bombay police on 4th August to appear before the police on 6th (today) in the fake social media accounts case. The bungling that social media companies indulge in by selling fake likes and views to celebrities for a price came to light when singer Bhoomi Trivedi complained that fake Instagram accounts were created in her name. A lot of other celebrities may also be summoned in the case which has exposed that likes and views are bought by stars, singers and other celebrities to give an enhanced impression of their immense popularity.
