BJP MLA Amit Satam claimed in the Maharashtra Assembly today (March 25) that BMC commissioner I.S. Chahal’s cousin, Rajinder, had threatened Sonu Nigam to hold some free shows for him. The MLA alleged that Rajinder threatened to send him a civic notice for his home and to start demolition work soon thereafter if he did not oblige. Satam added that the singer had made a complaint about the same. The BJP legislator demanded that the state government should take serious action against Rajinder.
I.S. Chahal later distanced himself from Rajinder and explained that he had nothing to do with him.
