Distributors owing allegiance to the Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram District Film Distributors Association at its meeting held on 9th September passed the following three resolutions with regard to payment of VPF and other charges for screening films:
Resolution 1: Exhibitors/theatre owners will not collect any fees from distributors/producers for the mandatory C form licence for their respective theatres.
Resolution 2: Digital projector providers shall not collect VPF charges from distributors/producers. The latter have paid these charges for 10 years now but will not pay them anymore.
Resolution 3: The Association strongly condemned the VPF charged by digital projector providers although the same has been stopped the world over two years ago.
