STEALING GOATS TO FUND FILM! | 11 November, 2020

Two brothers were arrested on 8th November in New Washermenpet in Tamil Nadu for stealing goats. Their aim was to fund the film which their father was producing with them in the lead! V. Niranjan Kumar (30) and his brother, Lenin Kumar (32), had been stealing goats for the past three years but they ran out of luck on 8th November. The two are now in judicial custody.

The two brothers used to steal eight to ten goats a day and sold them for around Rs. 8,000 per goat. They would drive around the rural deserted stretches of Chengalpet, Madhavaram, Minjur and Ponneri and pick up a couple of goats from every herd they came across. They would bundle up the goats and speed away in their car when nobody was looking.
