Producer-director Subhash Ghai was admitted to Lilavati Hospital this evening. Although rumours have it that it is a slightly serious problem, his office has issued a statement that he is “absolutely fine”. The hospital admission, according to the statement, is for a routine check-up. Sources add that he has been facing exhaustion problems because he has had a rather hectic month of several activities including his book launch in Bombay, and presence at the IFFI in Goa a fortnight back. It is heard that he is doing fine in the ICU. A battery of tests have, according to the same sources, shown no alarming results.
Ghai is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days.
