Popular music director of Punjabi films, Surinder Bachchan, passed away today (30th November) in Chandigarh due to heart attack. He had composed the music for innumerable films and was known as Music Machine because of the speed with which he used to score music. In all, he had scored music for more than 16,000 film and non-film songs. He started out in 1989 when he was just 14 years old. He was the paternal uncle of singer B. Praak.
Among the films he composed the music for were Yaar Pardesi, Chak De Phatte, Rahe Chardi Kala Punjab Di, Nain Preeto De, Sardari, Dulha Bhatti and Dhee Jatt Di.
