Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide and there was no foul play. This is what the final post-mortem report of the 34-year-old actor, who ended his life on 14th June, says. The report suggested, no struggle marks or external injuries were found on the actor’s body. The cause of death in the report is mentioned as asphyxia due to hanging. His nails were found clean too.
The police recorded statements of 23 people including his live-in girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. Actress Rhea told the police that she had been living with Sushant in his flat for a while and she had left on 8th June, after which her sister was to join him. She confirmed that Sushant was being treated for clinical depression.
