SUSHANT’S FATHER FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST PSYCHOTHERAPIST SUSAN WALKER | 9 September, 2020

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, K.K. Singh, has filed a complaint with the Medical Council of India (MCI) against Bombay-based psychotherapist Susan Walker for revealing his son’s mental illness in an interview. He has said that the consultations between his son and the therapist were meant to be strictly confidential, and any disclosure of the same should attract charges of professional misconduct as per the MCI regulations.

Sushant, who was found dead on June 14 in his flat, had consulted Susan Walker in last October, along with Rhea after their Europe trip. In her statement to the Bombay police, Walker said that Sushant may have committed suicide because he believed that there was no cure for his mental illness and he didn’t want his family members to suffer. She also told the police that Sushant was close to his sister, but not to his father. She added that his mother’s death had impacted him severely.
