TELUGU FILM ACTOR-PRODUCER RAMESH BABU NO MORE | 9 January, 2022

Telugu film actor-producer Ramesh Babu passed away yesterday (8th January) in Hyderabad due to liver-related problems. He was 56 and had not been keeping well since a long time. He was the elder brother of actor Mahesh Babu who, unfortunately, could not attend the funeral as he tested COVID-positive two days back. However, Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to share his grief.

Mahesh Babu tweeted, “You have been my inspiration, you have been my strength, you have been my courage, you have been my everything. If not for you, I would not have been half the man I am today. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Now just rest…rest… In this life and if at all I have another, you’ll always be my ‘Annaya’. Love you forever and ever and ever.”

The mortal remains of Ramesh Babu were kept at Padmalaya Studios today (9th) at 11 a.m. for the final respects. He was cremated at 12 noon.

Ramesh Babu, who was the son of Telugu film actor Krishna, debuted as a child actor with Alluri Seetharama Raju (1974). He acted in six films as a child artiste before debuting as an adult with Samrat (1987). He quit acting in 1997 after doing around 15 films including Bazaar Rowdy, Chinni Krishnudu, Kaliyuga Karnudu, Kaliyuga Abhimanyudu and Encounter (1997), among others. He turned producer in 2004 and went on to produce Arjun and Athidhi. He also presented Dookudu and Aagadu.
