This is brotherhood of a different level. While Sai Dharam Tej is recuperating from a serious motorcycle accident he met with two weeks back, his film, Republic, is slated for release next week (1st October). While producers J.B. Entertainments and Zee Studios were game for changing the release plans after the unfortunate accident, the hero’s family and the Telugu trade associations asked them to go ahead with the release schedule instead of postponing the film. So, the film, directed by Deva Katta, will release on 1st October, as per the original plan.
Even though it is two weeks since the accident, Sai Dharam Tej is not in a position to promote his film. According to the doctors, he will take a fairly long time to recover as his injuries were serious (thankfully, he was wearing a helmet). However, the Telugu industry has come forward to promote the film in the absence of the hero’s availability. Maternal uncle Chiranjeevi formally released the political thriller’s trailer a few days back. Pawan Kalyan (who is also Sai Dharam’s maternal uncle) and a host of other actors will be promoting the film for the next seven days.
Besides Sai Dharam, the film stars Aishwarya Rajesh, and Ramya Krishna (as the antagonist). Ramya Krishna’s popularity is too well-known to be reiterated. Suffice it to say that the public is waiting to watch the fireworks between Sai Dharam Tej and Ramya in Republic, on the big screen. Aishwarya Rajesh is a popular name in Tamil Nadu too, because of which the producers are expecting the film to score in Tamil Nadu also.
