Vishnu Vardhan Induri, producer of Thalaivi and one of the producers of 83, today (Independence Day, August 15) announced a film franchise, Azad Hind, as a tribute to the unsung heroes of India’s independence fight, who are lost in history. The first film in this franchise will be about the untold story of Veerangana Durgawati Devi, popularly known as Durga Bhabhi. She was also referred to as ‘The Agni Of India’ by the British Secret Service Bureau, MI 5.
A top actress will play the central character. The name of the director and other details of the film will be announced later.
