A complaint has been filed by a lawyer in the Jaunpur court against director Indra Kumar, and actors Ajay Devgan and Sidharth Malhotra for the trailer of their Thank God. The complainant says that fun has been poked at Chitragupt, Lord of Karma, in the film as is evident from its trailer which was released recently. According to the complaint, there is a scene in the trailer in which Chitragupt has been shown to be wearing a suit and using banal language and cracking jokes.
The complainant, lawyer Himanshu Srivastava, said that the trailer hurts religious sentiments as it mocks at religion.
The complainant’s statement will be recorded on November 18. Thank God is slated for release on October 24.
