IMAX Corporation and Miraj Entertainment Ltd. on April 10 announced their collaboration. IMAX will install IMAX screens with laser systems at three properties of Miraj. The deal marks the first collaboration between the two companies and IMAX’s largest expansion in India in five years.
While one IMAX screen will be installed in Miraj’s property in Bombay, another will be fitted in its Jaipur property. The third location is yet to be finalised. The Bombay property of Miraj — erstwhile IMAX Wadala — will be fitted with the IMAX screen in 2024 itself. IMAX Wadala had closed down last year.
