A top all-India distributor has taken a national multiplex chain to court for recovery of his dues. The chain reportedly owes the leading distributor crores of rupees by way of distributor’s share. The share relates to films released in 2019 and the first three months of 2020.
Despite repeated reminders, the multiplex chain has pleaded inability to clear the dues of the distributor. Driven to his wits’ end, the all-India distributor has dragged the national chain to court for recovery of not just his share but also interest thereon.
