Shri M.M. Movies’ Tute Kanch (UA) is the story of a film star, Pramod Sharma (Pramod Sharma). He marries a middle-class girl, Apsara (Dhanashree Rathod), who is also his fan. She is his family’s choice. Soon, Apsara gets pregnant. However, Pramod is killed in a bomb blast orchestrated by Pakistani terrorist Langada Lahori (Mahesh Kumar) and Indian politician Kangaroo (Rajesh ‘PR’ Dadu).
Pramod Sharma’s story and screenplay are senseless and offer no novelty to the audience. His dialogues are pedestrian.
Performances are pathetic. Pramod Sharma can hardly act to save his life. Dhanashree Rathod is dull. Mahesh Kumar fails to impress in the role of Langada Lahori. Rajesh ‘PR’ Dadu’s (Kangaroo) acting is weak. Machindra Gaikwad (as the TV journalist) barely passes muster.
Pramod Sharma’s direction is poor. His editing is worse than his direction. Music (B.K. Studio) is functional. Lyrics (Pramod Sharma) don’t even deserve mention. Mahesh Kumar’s camerawork is rather dull. Editing leaves plenty to be desired.
On the whole, Tute Kanch is a flop show.
Released on 25-12-’20 at Tilak Multiplex Dombivli (daily 1 show) of Bombay by Shri M.M. Movies. Publicity & opening: horrifyingly poor.
