The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on 29th August arrested two persons in Bombay and recovered 59 grams of marijuana from them. While one, Abbas Ramzan Ali Lakhani, was arrested from Pali Hill, Bandra, the other, Karn Arora, was arrested from Chandivali at Powai. Although both were not connected to the Sushant Singh Rajput drug case, their supplier seemed to have Bollywood connections. The two arrested admitted that they were in touch with some Bollywood people. Both were released on bail by the court although the holiday court first remanded them to judicial custody. The two came under the scanner when the NCB team was scrutinising the peddlers under watch for frequenting celebrity parties. A trap was laid, and Lakhani was arrested. Lakhani spilled the beans on Karn Arora who was then arrested.
