TWO PILs FILED IN SC FOR CBI PROBE INTO SUSHANT DEATH | 6 August, 2020

Two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed in the Supreme Court on 4th August, seeking a CBI probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. While one PIL was filed by BJP leader and lawyer Ajay Agrawal, the other was filed by a Bombay-based law student, Devtadeen Dubey. Interestingly, a bench of the Bombay high court, headed by Chief Justice S. Bobde, had on 30th July junked a similar PIL seeking transfer of probe from the Bombay police to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
