Writer-actor Shiv Subrahmanyam passed away last night (April 10) in Bombay. He was 62. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer some months ago. He had lost his 15-year-old son barely two months back to brain tumour. He is survived by his actress-wife Divya Jagdale.
Shiv Subrahmanyam had penned the screenplay of Parinda , Arjun Pandit, 1942 A Love Story and Teen Patti, and the story of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, among other films. He also co-wrote Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin and Chameli. He was seen in 2 States, Kaminey, That Girl In Yellow Boots, Hichki, Rocky Handsome, Stanley Ka Dabba, Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Nail Polish, besides TV series 24.
Those who came in contact with Shiv remember him as an extremely humble and genuinely nice person.
