Information saw three songs of Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg’s Cocktail 2. All the three songs — Jab talak, Maashoqa and Tujhko — are not just musically excellent but their picturisations are also extraordinary. The three stars of the film — Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandana — look gorgeous in the songs. And so do the foreign locations on which the songs have been picturised. Music director Pritam Chakraborty and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya seem to have created magic!
For those who are wondering how Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg’s Luv Films have come together for the Cocktail sequel, here’s the story. Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan had a script which fitted the Cocktail world. Rather than selling his script, Luv asked for partnership in production. Vijan found the subject so appropriate that he agreed.
Homi Adajania has directed the sequel too. Readers may recall that Homi was also the director of Cocktail which had been written by Imtiaz Ali.
So is Cocktail 2, slated for release on 19th June, going to be a musical hit? The first three songs and their picturisations have certainly made the sequel hot!
