Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Phool Pishi O Edward has crossed the Rs. 1.30-crore mark for collections in national multiplex chains at the end of its third week. With this, it has become the second-highest grossing Bengali film of 2026 so far, surpassing Bijoynagarer Hirey. The film continues to do well now also. The highest Bengali grosser of this year so far is Saptadingar Guptodhon.
The feat becomes more significant considering the film’s non-holiday release. Sustained audience interest and positive recommendations have ensured a steady flow of footfalls across cinemas, with more than 2 lakh viewers having already watched the film on the big screen.
A rare woman-led detective story in Bengali cinema, Phool Pishi O Edward has struck a chord with the audience for its refreshing narrative, engaging mystery and emotionally resonant story-telling. The film’s unique premise and strong ensemble performances have made it a favourite among viewers of all age groups.
