The trailer of Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups is mesmerizing! As evident from the trailer, the film has scale. It has a multitude of stars. It has lethal action. It has emotions. It has grandeur. It has style. It has sex. It has drama. It has melodrama. It has attitude. And, of course, it has superstar Yash!
A lot of people in the trade had misgivings about the film when its first teaser was released. They were scandalised by the suggestion of love-making in the car, shown in the teaser. Frankly, that teaser did the trick — it got the public interested in knowing what was happening in the car, and how! The trailer, which was released today (8th August) in Bangalore in five languages — Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam — has done the same thing! For, after watching the trailer, people can’t wait to watch the film. As Huma Qureshi said at the trailer launch at ANB Cinemas, “Please release the film today only!” She may not be aware but she actually voiced the feelings of lakhs of fans of Yash who will make a beeline for the cinemas on 26th August when Toxic hits the screens.
Toxic has been shot in Kannada and in English. However, the English trailer was not released today.
Coming back to the trailer which was released: After watching it, one can predict with all the conviction at one’s command that all roads on 26th August will lead to cinemas screening Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.
