The Active Telugu Film Producers Guild has refused to accept the percentage sharing model of 60-50-40 proposed by the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce. The Guild has termed it “unilateral” and has made it clear that its members are not willing to screen films in cinemas which operate on this model.
Producers Suresh Naidu, Sunil and Shirish want to introduce in Telangana the percentage sharing system which is in operation in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the whole of North India. But except for producer Dil Raju, all the other leading Telugu film producers are against the model.
