A sessions court in Bombay on 19th July extended till 3rd August interim protection from arrest to Aditya Pancholi in the rape case filed against him by Kangana Ranaut. Pancholi had sought anticipatory bail after the Versova (Bombay) police lodged an FIR against him on 28th June. He was granted interim protection from arrest till 19th July.
The court on 19th adjourned the hearing of the plea till 3rd August. The interim protection granted to the actor from arrest shall continue till then. While Kangana has accused Aditya of rape, the latter has said that he has been falsely implicated.
