The dispute between the producers of Akhanda 2 and Eros International has been settled out of court, paving the way for the film’s release across languages (shot in Telugu and dubbed in Hindi and the other South languages) on 12th December. The film’s release last Friday was postponed because of the Madras high court order which injuncted the release till the producers, 14 Reels Plus, did not make a payment of Rs. 27.80 crore to Eros under an earlier arbitral award.
The matter was settled out of court earlier this week. Following that, Eros has given 14 Reels Plus an NOC, and the two parties have signed consent terms which are being filed in the high court.
Akhanda 2 stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and is directed by Boyapati Sreenu.
