Actor Chandrachur Singh has lodged an FIR against his aunt, two cousins and four others, alleging that his grandfather’s will was forged to deprive his father of his inheritance. In his complaint filed at Rorawar police station in Aligarh district on August 28, Chandrachur alleged that the signature of his grandfather, Thakur Harender Pal Singh, was forged in 1997 when he (the grandfather) was ill and allegedly unable to sign documents.
The actor alleged that his uncle, Ganga Singh, and other family members forged the signature on the will, depriving his father, late Captain Baldev Singh, of his inheritance rights. The will was later executed, but his father was not in Aligarh when that happened.
Chandrachur further alleged that several prime properties inherited under the disputed will were later sold. Police investigations are in progress.
