CHRISTIAN GROUP FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST ‘TOXIC’ | 13 February, 2026

The National Christian Federation has filed a formal complaint against Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, the Karnataka state government’s chief secretary and home secretary, and the Central Board of Film Certification. The NCF has objected to scenes depicting Archangel Michael, calling them inappropriate and insulting, and claiming that they hurt religious sentiments.

The complaint refers to the film’s teaser which shows a sex scene in a car outside a cemetery followed by a violent gunfight inside it. The cemetery reportedly contains religious iconography, including a statue of Archangel Michael.

The NCF has demanded the immediate removal of the scenes and has urged the producers, KVN Productions, to take down the teaser from social media platforms.
