Clerics and community leaders met Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on 21st September, demanding a ban on Ayesha. They said that the upcoming film was disrespectful to the mother of Muslims, the wife of Prophet Muhammad. The film is based on her. They also demanded action against producer Wasim Rizvi.
