Renowned costume designer Deepa Mehta breathed her last on 27th September. Deepa was the ex-wife of actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. She married Mahesh in 1987 but they divorced in 1995. Mahesh and Deepa have two children, Ashwami and Satya Manjrekar.
Deepa had designed costumes for both, Marathi and Hindi films. She owned the popular saree brand, Queen Of Hearts.
