The Delhi high court on February 16 granted interim bail to actor Rajpal Yadav in the Rs. 9 crore cheque bouncing case. He had sought bail to attend his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur (U.P.) on February 19.
The bail was granted after the actor paid the complainant Rs. 1.50 crore.
The actor had surrendered before the police on February 5 after being unable to repay the Rs. 9 crore debt, landing him in Tihar Jail. Following his detention, many Bollywood personalities rallied behind him, promising support amid his financial challenges.
