Film producers are making a beeline for their Associations to register titles with the word ‘Corona’ in them for their films. One such title registered by the IMPPA recently is Deadly Corona. Eros has also registered the title Corona Pyaar Hai, giving a funny twist to the 2000 blockbuster, Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai.
In the past too, producers have invariably made capital out of national events, calamities and catastrophes by registering film titles based on them. For instance, soon after Article 370 was revoked, titles such as Article 370, Kashmir Hamara Hai, Article 370 Abolished and Kashmir Mein Tiranga were registered by different producers. Likewise, following the Pulwama terror attack and the Balakot air strike, titles like Abhinandan, The Airstrike Of Pulwama, India Strikes Back and Surgical Strike 2.0 were registered by adventurous producers for their films.
