KAMAL HAASAN INTERROGATED BY POLICE IN CRANE ACCIDENT CASE | 6 March, 2020

Kamal Haasan on 3rd March appeared before the Madras police in connection with the crane accident on the set of his Indian 2 on 19th February, which claimed three lives. The interrogation lasted three hours. The film’s director, S. Shankar, had appeared before the investigating team last week.

The Nazarethpet police in Madras registered a case under IPC section 304(A) (death caused due to negligence) against the crane operator, production manager and the producers. The case was later transferred to the Central crime branch, and the crane operator was arrested.

Assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandran, and production assistant Madhu died while nine others were injured when a malfunctioning crane came crashing down at a studio on the outskirts of Madras while shooting was in progress.
