Rumours are rife that Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace has not been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification. If they are true, it may mean further trouble for the film which was earlier titled Battle Of Galwan. This could also herald a further delay in its release.
The trailer of the film was released in December last year, but the film’s release had to be postponed as changes had to be made at the behest of the government, it is believed. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, deals with the 2000 Galwan Valley clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese troops, and it is rumoured that the Indian government did not want a film to be the cause for tension between the two countries because of which it asked the makers to not only alter scenes in it but also change the title.
