New chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, paid a visit to Lata Mangeshkar at Breach Candy Hospital on 29th November after his meetings on his first day in office at Mantralaya. The nightingale of India has been in the hospital since 11th November. Although she had been admitted to the ICU in a critical condition, she is now not in the ICU and is also off the ventilator. She was hospitalised due to difficulty in breathing.
