Mrunal Thakur has been signed to play the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in Jersey. The film, a remake of the Telugu film of the same name, is being produced by Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill. It is being directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri who had directed the original too. The film is slated for release on Aug. 28, 2020.
