PARAMOUNT GIVES MORE TEMPTING OFFER FOR WARNER TAKEOVER | 17 February, 2026

The bid by Paramount to take over Warner Bros. has taken a new turn after the Ellison family sweetened its latest offer. This may prompt Warner Bros. to reconsider the offer after so far rejecting all of Paramount’s unsolicited bids.

The latest revised offer by Paramount reportedly includes added concessions, prompting some Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders to argue that the board should at least explore its options.

Netflix, the strongest contender so far for the takeover, has a deal to acquire Warner Bros. Studios and its streaming assets for $27.75 per share, all in cash. The OTT platform had improved that from an initial cash and stock deal amid ongoing pressure.
