The Fast & Furious franchise is all set to feature its first stand-alone vehicle with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw respectively in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. Advance booking for the spinoff opened as early as Sunday, 28th July, for the film. But that’s common knowledge. The news is this:
A unique incentive has been added for the audience by select PVR Cinemas in India. Advance bookings now enable a patron to avail of an exclusive collectible poster of the film, specially designed by Universal Pictures, for the loyal fan base eagerly and excitedly waiting for the release of the film. This has been done in an effort to drive incremental footfalls for the film. PVR Cinemas VP Marketing, Dharmesh Datta, says, “PVR, as a thought leader, has always endeavoured to make the overall movie experience holistic and immersive for its patrons. We work closely in partnership with studios to create such fan community engagements, thus augmenting the movie-going experience.”
Hobbs & Shaw will hopefully open a new door in the Fast & Furious universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa. Fast & Furious: Hobbs And Shaw opens worldwide and in India on 2nd August.
