Actor Rajpal Yadav on February 5 surrendered before the Tihar Jail authorities after the Delhi high court on February 3 asked him to do so and on February 4 refused to extend the deadline granted to him in connection with his conviction in multiple cheque dishonour cases.
The actor had been convicted by a sessions court in May 2024 and sentenced to six months in jail in the cheque bouncing case filed by Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd. However, the Delhi high court later suspended the sentence after his lawyer assured the court that he would settle the dues.
