RITESH DESHMUKH’S BROTHERS ROMP HOME VICTORIOUS IN ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS | 25 October, 2019

Ritesh Deshmukh has reason to smile as both his brothers emerged victorious in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Amit Deshmukh polled 1,09,548 votes in Latur city. He won by a margin of over 40,000 votes. Dhiraj, the youngest of the three Deshmukh brothers, contested from the Latur Rural constituency. He swept the polls by bagging 1,19,826 votes, leaving his nearest rival, Shiv Sena’s Sachin Deshmukh, with only 13,335 votes. This was the first time Dhiraj contested elections. Both the brothers won on Congress tickets.
