Actor Ravi Kishan, the BJP candidate in the general elections, from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, has been accused of changing his educational qualification in his election affidavit. In a complaint filed with the Election Commission, Congress worker Santosh Kumar from Kushinagar district in U.P. has alleged that while Ravi’s election affidavit in 2014 (when he contested from Jaunpur) had stated that he was a graduate, the actor has stated in this year’s affidavit that he is an intermediate pass. District returning officer K. Vijendra Pandiyan said, the matter was being probed and the actor-politician’s nomination could be cancelled if the allegations were found to be true.
