Satish Kaushik was recently appointed chairman of the governing council for projects under the Haryana Film Policy. He had also been associated with the drafting of the Policy.
Kaushik, who hails from Danaunda village of Haryana’s Mahendragarh district, wants to attract more film producers to shoot in the state by asking the government to offer subsidies and incentives and by making shooting easy. He also wants to improve the exhibition sector by creating the atmosphere for increasing cinema screens in the state. He added that he was keen to set up a Film City in Haryana.
Films like Soorma and the yet-to-release Turram Khan have been shot in Haryana.
