Shashi Shekhar Vempati has been appointed chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification. Vempati is the former CEO of Prasar Bharati. He succeeds outgoing chairperson Prasoon Joshi.
The appointment was made through a notification issued by the I & B ministry today (May 6). Shashi Shekhar Vempati will hold office for three years from the date of joining.
