Marathi film playback singer Geeta Mali was killed in a car accident on 14th November. She and her lawyer-husband, Vijay, were in their car when it rammed into a tanker near Shahpur on the Nasik highway. Geeta had returned to Bombay from New York after an event. Vijay had picked her up from the airport, after which they were on their way home in Nasik. Vijay sustained injuries.
