Actor-filmmaker Suneil Anand, son of late superstar Dev Anand, breathed his last in London on the morning of 26th July following heart attack. He was 70.
Suneil was Dev Anand’s only son. His last in the same hospital in which Dev saab had died in 2011. His 94-year-old mother, yesteryears’ actress Kalpana Kartik, and only sister, Devina, live in Ooty.
Suneil made his acting debut in Anand Aur Anand (1984). He also acted in Car Thief (1986), Main Tere Liye (1989) and, after a long break, Master (2001). He was also the director of Master for which he had taken special training in martial arts under Wing Chun in Hong Kong. After his career as an actor did not take off, he started to look after his father’s production banner, Navketan Films.
