SWA, CINTAA JOIN HANDS TO ADDRESS ISSUES | 14 September, 2019

The Screenwriters Association (SWA) and the Cine And Television Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to address and resolve issues which their members may face in the line of work, including sexual harassment. The two Associations were seized of the problems after Alok Nath’s refusal to respond to Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), following writer-director Vinta Nanda’s allegation of rape against him.

Both the Associations plan to form joint committees to address complaints. The MoU will take care of all violations including sexual harassment, copyright, payment and breach of contract.
