As regards the civil suit filed by T-Series against ShareChat in Delhi high court, ShareChat has clarified that the press release sent out by T-Series has factual inaccuracies.
Firstly, the order passed by the high court was ex parte and ad interim, and not after hearing both parties, as mentioned by T-Series. Secondly, the FIR filed in Bangalore at the instance of Lahari Recording Company is under section 102 of the Trademark Act and section 63 of the Copyright Act rather than section 201 of the Trademark Act and section 64 of the Copyright Act, as wrongly stated by T-Series.
ShareChat has also clarified that it is not a habitual offender and also not in contempt of court orders, as alleged by T-Series.
