Producer and music director Tabun Sutradhar was arrested on 5th November for cheque bouncing. There were 11 separate complaints of dishonoured cheques registered against Tabun, all filed by one person who had lent Tabun money to make a film. The complaints were all made in the Bandra (Bombay) court.
The court had issued 11 non-bailable warrants against Tabun over a period of one year but he had very cleverly been evading arrest. He was finally traced to a flat in Manju Tower at Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri, Bombay. Tabun had issued cheques to the lender but they were all returned unpaid by the bank due to insufficient funds in his bank account.
